Lerwick Engineering & Fabrication Ltd (LEF) has achieved F4OR ‘Granted’ Status, marking a significant milestone in our journey. As a leading provider of engineering solutions situated in the UK’s pioneering energy hub, the Shetland Isles, and the North East of Scotland, LEF takes pride in this accomplishment.
Selected for the intensive 12-18 month programme facilitated by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, LEF underwent a rigorous process aimed at aiding companies in breaking into the offshore renewables industry effectively.
F4OR stands as a distinctive service aimed at preparing the UK supply chain to compete for project opportunities in the offshore renewable energy sector. Its objective is to enhance the competence, capability, and competitiveness of the UK offshore renewable energy supply chain, thereby maximising opportunities domestically and globally.
LEF’s inclusion in this programme adds to the roster of approximately 20 companies from various sectors in North East of Scotland, bringing the total number of Scottish companies to over 50. This underscores ORE’s overarching ambition to position Scotland as a global leader in the energy transition and support the Scottish Government’s net zero targets.
