LEF Ltd have a requirement for a Materials Controller to work in our workshop in Lerwick. This will be a full-time requirement.
Working within the LEF Materials team, you will act as the primary interface for all workshop based project materials management activities and your duties will include:
- Day-to-day project materials control that meets LEF planned objectives for both projects based In Lerwick and Sullom Voe Terminal.
- Participating in operational project and planning meetings to understand materials distribution priorities.
- Controlling goods-in and goods-out, including completion of manifests and confirmation of certification.
- Maintaining temporary equipment/rental register for jobs in the company
- Compiling delivery notes when required, visual inspection of all project goods receipted.
- Liaising with the Workshop Foreman and Workshop Manager to ensure correct shipment and placement of materials to appropriate jobs, work packs and project containers.
- Being responsible for Manifests / Requisitions / Equipment Rentals / Stockholding for project jobs.
- Applying traceability and job numbers on all goods and inputting into system where discrepancies arise and actively resolve.
- Maintaining good housekeeping in all areas and undertaking stock takes where required.

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience within a similar role or relevant industry experience.
- Good working knowledge of fabrication and construction material management.
- Forklift experience.
- Manual Handling training.
- Driving licence.
- Computer literacy, including use of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience managing certification, including re-certification.
